How to add a booking link to your Google Business Profile

When someone searches for your studio by name or finds it on Google Maps, Google shows your Business Profile: photos, opening hours, reviews and a row of buttons. One of those buttons can open your booking page. A client who has just read your reviews can then pick a time without looking for your website or calling you.

The steps below follow Google's own help pages as they stood in October 2026. Google renames menus from time to time, so if your screen looks different, check the Google help page on local business links, which always shows the current steps.

Before you start

  • Access to the profile. You need to be signed in with the Google account that manages your Business Profile, and the profile should be verified. Google may not let you edit a profile before it is verified.
  • A category that allows booking links. According to Google, only some business categories can add links for appointments, reservations or orders. If you cannot find the option, check that your primary category describes what you actually do.
  • The address of your booking page. More on choosing it below.

Which link to use

Your profile has a separate field for your website. Put your home page there. The booking link should go one step further, straight to the page where clients choose a service and a time. A client who taps a booking button expects to see free times, and every extra tap loses a few of them.

On Termeva that is your booking page, for example yourstudio.termeva.com/book, or the same page on your own domain.

Do not use your Instagram profile, a contact form, a PDF price list or a phone number as a booking link. None of them lets the client book, which is the whole point of the button.

How to add the link

  1. Sign in and open your Business Profile. Google's help pages send you there through business.google.com.
  2. On Google Search, select Booking. In Google Maps, select Edit profile and then Booking.
  3. Select Add link. If the profile already has links, the option is called Add another link.
  4. Paste the address of your booking page.
  5. Select Save.

Google reviews changes before they appear on a profile, so the button may not show up straight away. Once it does, open your profile on your phone and tap it yourself to check that it opens the booking page.

Google allows up to 10 booking links on a profile. A studio almost always needs one.

Booking buttons from other companies

Google works with selected booking providers, and links to their services can appear on a profile automatically. Google says these links come from its partners or from its own automated data. A button from a platform you never signed up with, or one you left long ago, can turn up on your profile without you doing anything.

Some providers are connected to Google directly through a programme called Reserve with Google, and Google's help page warns that a provider may charge you when a client books through Google. A booking made through someone else's button also ends up in their system rather than in your calendar.

You have two tools for this.

Set your link as preferred. When several links are shown, mark yours as preferred and Google shows it at the top, labelled "Business preferred":

  1. Open your profile and select Booking.
  2. Select Set preferred link.
  3. Choose your link and select Save.

Remove a provider you do not use. On Google Search, select Booking and then Remove Provider. In Google Maps, select Edit profile, Booking and then Remove Provider. According to Google, providers have to remove the link within 5 days of receiving the request. If one does not, the help page links to a form where you can report it.

Use the same link everywhere

Google is one of several places where clients decide to book. The same booking link belongs in your Instagram bio and behind the main button on your website, so every booking lands in one calendar. For restaurants the link should open the table booking form directly. What that form should ask is covered in our post on restaurant booking forms.

How it works in Termeva

Every Termeva studio gets a website built from a template, with a booking page at its own address, for example yourstudio.termeva.com/book. From the Solo plan at €9 a month it can run on your own domain. That booking page is the link to paste into Google. Clients who arrive from Google book the same way as everyone else: they get a confirmation email and a reminder the day before, and you get the new booking in Telegram. Termeva takes no commission on bookings, including the ones that come through Google.

Questions

Is it free to add a booking link to a Google Business Profile?

Yes, adding your own link costs nothing. Providers connected to Google through Reserve with Google may charge you for bookings made that way, so check with your provider if you use one.

Why can't I see the booking option on my Business Profile?

Google offers booking links only for some business categories, and you have to be signed in with the account that manages the verified profile. Check both first.

How long does it take for a booking link to appear on Google?

Google reviews changes to a profile before they go live, so it is not always immediate. If the button does not appear, check the status of your edit in the profile.

Can I remove a booking button that another company added to my profile?

Yes. Open Booking on your profile and choose Remove Provider. Google gives providers 5 days to act on your request.
