What a beauty salon website needs, and what it can skip

Most people find a salon in one of two ways: they see your work on Instagram, or they search on Google for a service nearby. In both cases they land on your website with the same three questions. What does it cost, where are you, and when can I come?

A good salon website answers those three questions on the first screen and lets the person book without writing a message.

The blocks that matter

Services with prices and duration. Not a list of names, but "Hydrating facial, 60 min, 45 €". People who cannot see a price either leave or write to ask, and both cost you time.

An online booking button on every screen. The visitor should be able to pick a service, a person and a free time and book without creating an account.

Address, map and opening hours. Near the top on a phone, not hidden in the footer. Add how to find the entrance if it is not obvious.

Photos of your work and your space. Real photos, even from a phone, build more trust than stock images. A dozen good ones is enough.

Who works here. A name and a photo of each person. Many clients book a person, not a salon.

Reviews. Link to your Google reviews or quote a few. Ask happy clients for a review right after the visit, while they are still pleased.

Contact. A phone number and a way to write, for the people who still prefer to ask first.

What you can skip at the start

  • A blog. Useful later, but it will not bring bookings in the first months.
  • Big sliders and video backgrounds that slow the page down on mobile data.
  • A chat bot. A clear price list and a booking button answer most questions.
  • Long texts about your philosophy. Two sentences about you are enough.

Speed and mobile

Most visitors arrive from a phone, often on mobile data. A page that takes five seconds to open loses people before they see a price. Keep photos compressed, avoid heavy effects and check the site on your own phone over mobile data.

Languages

If you work in a city with many tourists or foreign residents, a second language brings bookings you would otherwise miss. At least the services, the prices and the booking page should be translated.

Getting a working site in an evening

Termeva gives a salon a site from a ready template with online booking built in. Services, prices and hours come pre-filled for beauty salons, so you edit instead of starting from an empty page. The site works on an address like yourstudio.termeva.com from day one, and your own domain is available from the Solo plan. Free and Solo include 2 site languages, Studio and Salon up to 5.

You can look at the templates first, and the full list of features shows what the booking page does. Once the site is live, add the link to your Google profile: here is how to add a booking link to Google.

Questions

Does a small salon need a website if it has Instagram?

Instagram shows your work, a website takes the booking. Clients from Google look for prices, an address and a free time, and a site with online booking answers all three without a message.

How much does a salon website cost?

A custom site from a designer can cost hundreds of euros plus hosting. A template site with booking built in can be free to start, as with the Free plan in Termeva.

Do I need my own domain?

You can start on an address like yourstudio.termeva.com. Your own domain looks more established and is available from the Solo plan.
