Booksy alternative: what you pay per person and how to compare

· 3 min read

A row of leather barber chairs in a barbershop

Booksy is two products in one: a booking system and a marketplace app where clients search for a barber or a salon. Which part you actually use decides whether Booksy is a good deal for you.

What Booksy costs

Booksy prices the software per person on the team. In Poland, it is 145 zł net a month for the first person and 35 zł for each next one, and from the tenth person there is no extra charge. We checked these prices on 16 October 2026, and they can differ in other countries.

On top of that there is Boost, the paid promotion in the marketplace. For a new client who comes through Boost, Booksy takes 45% net of their first visit, at most 250 zł.

A worked example for a studio of four

A barbershop with four barbers pays 145 zł for the first person and 3 × 35 zł for the other three: 250 zł net a month for the software alone. With Boost switched on, every new marketplace client adds up to 45% of the first visit.

That can still be worth it. If Boost brings ten new clients a month and half of them come back regularly, the fee pays for itself. If your new clients mostly come from friends and Instagram, you pay per person for a calendar and get little from the app.

When Booksy is the better choice

  • Clients in your city search for services in the Booksy app by habit.
  • You want new clients from a marketplace and accept the share of the first visit.
  • You are a team that needs a big platform with many features in one place.

When an alternative makes more sense

  • Your clients are already yours. Regulars, word of mouth and Instagram bring most bookings.
  • The team is growing. Per person pricing turns every new hire into a higher software bill.
  • You want your own address. A profile inside an app sits next to your competitors.

What to compare

  • The price at your team size, not only for one person.
  • Commission on new clients. Is there a fee for the first visit?
  • Your own site with booking, or only a profile.
  • Client list export at any time, in a file you can open.
  • Reminders before the visit, and a way for the client to cancel.

Our comparison of Termeva and Booksy goes into these differences.

How Termeva prices the same job

Termeva charges per studio, not per person. Studio covers up to 5 people for 19 € a month, Salon covers any team and up to 3 locations for 39 €. There is no commission on bookings or new clients on any plan, and no marketplace: the clients who book through your site are yours.

Each studio gets a website with online booking, an email confirmation and a reminder the day before, and new bookings in Telegram. Right now new studios get 3 months of Salon free, with no card. See all plans.

Switching in two weeks

Export your client list first. Set up services and hours, then put the new booking link in your Instagram bio and on Google. Send your regulars one short message. Keep both systems running for two weeks, then close the old one when no new bookings arrive there. If you are comparing several options, our overview of free booking systems may help.
